Activsts who broke into GKN factory and targeted weapons

As debate over the 6.7bn takeover bid for the engineering business GKN by Melrose rages,
I looked into the Undercurrents archive and found our footage of how activists broke into the GKN factory and targeted weapons sold to Indonesia to be used on the civilians of East Timor.

GKN works in the automotive and aerospace sectors, including sensitive areas such as technology for the US defence company Lockheed Martins F-35B fighter jet, 138 of which have been ordered for the Royal Air Force.

The business, energy and industrial strategy committee will hold a session on 6 March to hear from the two companies, as well as the Unite union, which is campaigning against the takeover. Ministers are also assessing whether the bid should be blocked on national security grounds
